What an incredible weekend!
It was so good to see so many students in attendance for our first Winter Seminar. It was a long time coming. I first met Jess Finley at Carosella in Vancouver, hosted by Academie Cavallo, about 18 months ago. This trip for her to come teach at Annapolis Valley Historical Fencing has been in the works for the past 15 months.
It was well worth the wait.
Jess traveled all the way from Kansas to spend the long weekend with us. The adults spent Saturday learning Medieval Wrestling and Sunday learning Armoured Combat techniques. The youth students even had a two hour class on Wrestling as well. It was a lot of firsts for us, and a resounding success.
My plan is to continue bringing top tier instructors to the Annapolis Valley to help us grow and train. I’m still working out some details, but there is something in the works for July!
